Caring Heart

What is the Caring Heart program?

The Caring Heart program at Hearst is available to all of our families who are in need of assistance at any time, for any reason, and for any length of time. Caring Heart is here to provide our community with support and the following services: rides to school, childcare, meals, donations toward school related activities, donations of gift cards (i.e. Safeway, Raley’s, Target, gas), and more.

Caring Heart Committee activities

Committee members organize events throughout the year as well forming an on-call team ready to meet the needs of our community.

  • Grade level support

  • Open Heart Kitchen food donations

  • The Giving Tree project: November-December

  • Spring fundraiser: February

  • Hearst “gently used” Spirit Wear: May-June

  • Assist families so that they can attend school functions

If you are interested in serving on the committee, contact Amy Shannon at wellness@hearstpta.com. If you know of a family in need of support, let Dr. Henderson know or direct them to the online intake form or printable form which will go directly to her if dropped off at the office.

If you have a request that we can help you with, please contact your child’s teacher or Dr. Henderson, and they would be happy to assist in coordinating help for your child and/or family.

If you would like to be a part of our "In A Pinch" team to be on call to help provide the above services please email wellness@hearstpta.com.
