Hello from your PTA President

My name is Amanda Brown, and I am your PTA President this year. My husband (Justin Brown) and I have three kids at Hearst: Emma - grade 5, Evelyn - grade 4, and Miles - grade 2. I also work as a Professor of Geology at Las Positas College. This is my 6th year serving on the PTA Board, and I look forward to making fun new memories and partnering with all the amazing members of our Hearst Community.

At Hearst, the PTA provides so many opportunities for our students. These opportunities are not funded by anyone else, which makes your support of the PTA crucial to our school's success. The PTA funds our garden and art program, teacher classroom needs, STEM supplies, teacher training, school assemblies, and so much more. And... get excited! This year we are bringing back several popular PTA-sponsored events including Ice Cream Social, Disco Bingo, International Fair, Outdoor Movie Night, Trunk or Treat, just to name a few! These events build up our community and are fun for the whole family.
