What is it?
The Hearst Auction Fundraiser, like the Fun Run, is integral to raising funds to help support supplemental programs and resources that our students have all benefited from, like Chrome Books (yes, the PTA provides those), Library hours, student supplies and intervention programs. These programs are NOT supported by local or state taxes. Withouth the Fun Run or Auction, these programs will disappear.
When is it?
The Auction is an adult only event on the evening of March 10th. This year our theme is Gatsby, so take the opportunity to dress up 1920's style or wear whatever feels comfortable.
Why an auction?
The auction is a chance for Hearst families, Hearst admin and staff to come together and celebrate our community and raise money for our wonderful school. As parents and caregivers, we all deserve an opportunity to get to know each other, and to get to know our wonderful admin and Hearst staff. We are stronger together.
What do we auction?
There are two main components to the auction, a "live" part and a "silent" part. Items auctioned off in either area are generously donated by Hearst families and community partners and businesses. (Example: Tahoe Ski Basket with Lift Tickets and Skiwear donated by Tahoe Donner Ski Resort)
How you can help
We are in the middle of organizing our auction items. If you or someone you know in the Pleasanton or surrounding community has a business item (e.g. gift card) or service that they would like to donate to our auction, please let us know! For example, if you have a restaurant and would like to donate a gift certificate, that would be amazing! Or if you have favorite stores downtown and would like to donate items from them, that would be great! We would love to have you join us and support HearstElementary.
